This Is Going Viral...

Okay so for our first
Spring Break since high school,
we journeyed south;
not quite to Cancun, though.
We went to Utah!
And we had a blast.
But I must confess I
learned something of myself...
I am very very good at
taking pictures of Kale,
but I'm very very bad at
taking pictures of anyone else...
And so, Pattersons beware,
because I am learning from my mistake
and will be taking an
annoyingly large amount of pictures
of you all the next time
we see you!

So we started driving at about 8 PM...
the strategy was to drive through the night
while Kale was sleeping,
so as to make the trip as smooth as possible.
And it probably would have worked,
if I hadn't been pulled over
at 1 AM in Boise.
Oops...
I thought I was going 5 over but
I was actually going 15 over.
Luckily, all I got was
very interesting speech from the lady cop
and then was sent on my way.
Although it was amazing
not to get a ticket,
it wasn't so amazing that it
woke Kale up and he stayed up until
4:30 AM.
Poor Tyler didn't get a wink of sleep.
But we made it all the same!
And now, the pictures!

Kale loved going down the slide
at the Raff's house.
As you can see, his favorite
way to go down was
head first.
This was the first time he ever
went down a slide on his own,
or up a ladder.
He may or may not have
fallen off the ladder at one point,
but the only witness to that
is sworn to secrecy.
You know who you are....Janie. :)

These kids were having a ball.
Gracie and Sadie were
super cute about
helping Kale.
And Grandpa was just praying
he would catch Kale every time!

Silly Gracie!

Go Sadie Go!

Barely caught him...

While we were down there,
we went to a park in
Spanish Fork.
This park was the bomb.com!
But it was CRAZY windy!

On the slide again...

I don't know why,
but he insisted on crawling
across the bridge.
Maybe it freaked him out
that it moved.

We also got to
see our good friends
Clint and Ashley Braithwaite and
their adorable little girl Cambry.

Kale was like,
"Baby!"

And then I was lucky enough
to get to spend some time
with my amazingly wonderful friend,
Brittany Crumback!!
She treated me to dinner and dessert,
which was way nice of her,
and we just caught up
and laughed together.
It was so awesome to get to see her.
I miss her like crazy!

And then we blinked and the week
was over and it was time to go.
We did other things too,
I just didn't take pictures,
because I'm lame.
Or maybe I'm too busy being awesome
to take pictures...
Anyway, Kale was sad to leave
everyone, but did some
extra good cuddles with
Grandpa just before we left.

The trip back took a little
bit longer than the trip down
because we drove all day
instead of all night.
Kale was a champion though.
He even took a driving shift
so Tyler and I could rest...

And then it was his turn to rest.

And Tyler took us the rest
of the way home.

It was a really great trip
and we were so grateful
that we had the chance
to go down and see everyone.
Thanks to you all for
feeding us and taking time
to hang out with us!

Also, I have more pictures I've taken since
we've been home that I would really like to post
but our computer's memory is full,
so we're working on getting things
backed up and then
more will be coming at ya!

Baby Kisses

Hello Hello!
I know it's not like this everywhere,
but it's spring in Ellensburg!
And I've probably just jinxed
everything by saying that.
Crap.

Well, anyway, here is an update.

A few weeks ago
my very good friend, Marlee,
came up to Washington
for here little sister's reception
near Spokane.
So, I decided to take
Kale and go see her!
The drive was super easy
and it was so great to
see Marlee and her adorable
baby Ivy.

On the drive up we had about
thirty minutes to go when
Kale started to fuss.
So, I gave him my Sobe bottle
to entertain him.
Ten minutes later I look back
and the bottle is empty,
but when I had handed it to him
it was practically full.
So, Kale knows how to take
caps off of bottles now...
He dumped all over his cute
reception-going clothes,
so that's why he appears to be
in pajamas.

I had to hold Kale
back from devouring her.
I think Kale really likes her
and Ivy is indifferent.
Like mother like daughter ;)
If these two get married someday,
this picture will be priceless!

To celebrate our budding spring
we went to the park and
played with sticks and stuff.
And, of course, I took a bunch of pictures to
 show off how adorable
 my little guy is.

And that was that.
Pretty adorable, right??

Anyway, we're leaving for Utah in
a couple of days, and
we couldn't be more excited.
And so, in a couple
weeks there should be a post
with an overloaded amount of pictures.
Happy Spring to you!

Please tell me Winter is over!

Howdy Ya'll.
So, a while back it was
super nice outside,
so Kale and I went to the park...

Just moments after this picture was taken
Kale turfed and caught himself
with his face.
He literally ate gravel.
Poor guy!
But man those were some good cuddles ;)

The next day it was nice again so we went for
a walk..

This look makes me think of
Kolby,
but it also makes me think of
Kyle.

His poor nose!

Kale absolutely loves the bridge.
More specifically,
he loves to throw things
off the bridge into the stream.
Over and over and over.
It's adorable.
Except for when he tries to bypass
the bridge and run down
the hill into the rocky water.
Goof.

All in all,
it was a really nice walk.

And then tonight,
while I was getting Kale's bath ready,
he pulled a little prank on me...

"What Mom? Didn't you want me to get
in the bath? I don't
get what I did wrong?"
He's so silly!
And with those blue eyes he
can get away with just
about anything.
