But before it was his birthday,
it was the day before his birthday.
The last day that he was 1 (sniffle).
And so I decided to take some pictures of him as a One-year-old.
He invented this game where he brings
a ton of his toy cars out to the slide,
and one by one sends them down to the
rocks below.
Then, he very masculinely walks
down the stairs swinging his Easter basket...
And picks all the cars up...
And walks back up the stairs.
Repeat process until mom says it's time to go inside.
Okay, now it's Birthday time.
No better way to start out a B-day,
than with an awesome bubble bath.
And every little guy wants to see his grandma
on his birthday.
Hi Grandma Pam!
This is the adorable table and chairs from
Grandma Pam, Aunt Laura and Aunt Janie.
What a perfect present,
Kale is obssessed.
Now time to unwrap the load of
presents from Nana and Grandpa Gerber:
The balloons were his favorite.
They popped about an hour later,
but don't worry, I had more.
Look at all those presents!!
What a lucky kid :)
On Saturday we're going to have
some of his friends over
for cupcakes and such.
So, I made him cake cookies
and we sang to him and blew out his two candles.
We didn't get a picture but
we got it on video :)
After he blew the candles out he
basically told us to go away so he could
watch Toy Story.
Stinker.
This is my favorite.
Kale seriously was making the same face as me but then switched to
make me look like a fool.
Well done, son.
But then he gave me kisses so I
didn't even care.
Even though it was cold and
windy, he begged me to go
outside.
So, we bundled up and out we went,
to play Kale's new game:
And then he road his bike,
like a boss.
It was a great day.
He didn't really understand
what it all was,
but he loved it all the same.
I can't believe he's already 2!
It's been an eventful couple of years
for our family,
and his next birthday should be
fun because we have no idea where we'll be
in a year!
Thank you to everyone who sent Kale
birthday wishes!
