Wedding Daze

What a crazy few weeks
we've had!
First of all,
check out this silly
picture of Kale.
He had a day where he wanted
to wear his helmet all day.
Goofy kid

Also, we have some new
neighbors who are
more than willing to share
their things.
Including their electric guitars...

Now the the main event.
Last weekend we
made the trip down
to Denver for Kyle and Heathers wedding!
It. Was. Crazy.
But totally worth it.

Kale LOVES his uncles
and Nana and Grandpa
and Great-Grandma and Great Aunt Aethea.
They gave him all the attention he
loves and he was sad when
we left.
Some highlights from the trip down:
Kale pooped on the side
of the road.
We didn't know he was pooping until
it was too late.
As soon as he'd finished a cop
pulled up behind us.
He was just making
sure we were okay,
and completely accepted
our explanation of
"emergency potty stop."
I was a very naughty mom
and didn't listen to my doctors
about how often we should
stop so I could get
up and walk around.
We were supposed to stop every
2 hours...oops.
Tyler was a champion and
drove the whole way
to Grandma's house
in Ogden.
We made it in about 12ish hours,
which was really
great, all things considered.
Kale was a little ball
of energy,
terrorizing Grandma's house.
We left early early the next
morning and picked
Aethea up,
who happened to have food
poisoning.
I don't know how she
did it.
She's a champion.
Kale must have felt
her pain,
because not long into the drive
he threw up.
We think he was just car sick
from the canyon.
Tyler caught most of it.
With his bare hands.
So gross.
The rest of the drive was really
fast.
I felt like we were in Denver
in no time at all.
We hit some traffic in Denver,
oh, and a TORNADO WARNING.
We didn't know what county
we were in so I called
my family to find
out if we maybe needed to take cover.
The kindly lied to me
and told me we weren't in a
tornado warning, that was
somewhere else.
But then we got to the hotel
and Jake let me know
they had lied.
That's true family love right there.

Okay, we've made it to some pictures.
Jake made Kale's love
for him even stronger
by taking him swimming
at the hotel pool.

Kale thought the pool
was cold,
so they lounged
in the hot tub
for a bit.

Heather's parents hosted a little barbecue
the night before the wedding in their beautiful backyard. Grandpa took a turn entertaining Kale :)

 Now,
it's wedding time!
It was so fun
to be there.
Kale loved the flowers
around the temple,
and taking pictures on Tyler's phone.

Wedding Selfies.
Duh.

Oh, did I forget to mention
just how pregnant I was?
38 weeks.
As in 2 weeks from my due date.
No big deal.
Everyone pampered me to the max.
I am seriously so loved.

I love this picture.
It's so....Kyle.

Kale took some of
my favorite
pictures of the trip.
Including the next two:

The wedding party!
I LOVED the tan suits.
Great wedding color
choice Heather!

Kale was as patient as
you can expect a 2-year-old
to be.
But when it was time to
go,
he was done taking
orders from anyone.
Luckily, Aunt Aethea was
there to save the day!

The reception that night
was in Heather's backyard.
It was a beautiful night
and the whole place looked great!
 Tyler snatched a picture
of the newlyweds
during their first dance.
Isn't her dress GORGEOUS.
I couldn't get over it.
I'm still not.

This is another picture taken
by Kale that
is one of my favorites.
I might have been
a little bit cold...

Kale and I danced
the mommy-son dance
when they invited us
up to join Kyle and mom.
Kale didn't get it.
I loved it.

And that was about it!
By the end of
the night I was
pretty exhausted.
To be honest,
I'm surprised I didn't start
some labor.
But Heavenly Father
heard our prayers and
said Yes I will help you!

We got up and left about 5:15 the next morning.
Poor Kale threw up again.
We made it to Ogden and took
a little break.
Then, we kept on going.
We went to Boise and stayed the
night at Tyler's Grandparent's house.
Kale loved doing his puzzles
in the car!

This was the first
time Kale and I had met
Tyler's grandparents.
They were great!
Kale was a little
ball of energy and they
just went with it.
We are soooooooo grateful
that we could stop
at their house.
It made all the difference.

They have the most beautiful
backyard.
It's full of colorful flowers
and a little garden.
We all loved it,
but Kale really loved it.
Grandma helped him
pick some fresh strawberries,
which he thought was the
coolest thing ever.

He also got to help water
some plants,
which he didn't want to
stop doing.
Ever.

I think my favorite part
of the night was
when Grandma and Kale
read a book together.
It was so cute.

The next morning we took it easy.
We slept until we woke up,
we slowly got our stuff
together and
ate breakfast.
Eventually we left,
to finish off our last leg of
the trip.
Tyler and I were so relieved
to be home.
Kale didn't feel the same.
He kept saying he had
to "Go back that way!"

We were so blessed throughout
this whole trip.
Tyler was AMAZING.
He took such good care
of us, drove a ridiculous
amount of hours,
and was super fun to be
around the whole time.
He's a wonderful guy,
I'm really so glad
to have him for my husband.

Well, more has happened,
but this is all I have the
energy to do right now.
Tyler graduated yesterday,
so there will be a post about that soon!
And this baby should be arriving
soon!!!
