Catch up (or Ketchup, it's a personal preference)

Alright, so I'm beginning to
discover that I'm more
of a PC kind of
girl than a Mac kid.
Don't hate me!
Our Mac has been giving me
some trouble with
uploading my pictures from
our camera.
But now it works again,
so on to me playing catch up!

Here are Kale and Tyler
just being a little silly.

The Saturday before Easter
my cousin Jana Raddon and her husband Brett
were nice enough to watch
Kale while Tyler and I
went to the Temple.
And then we had dinner
and an Easter egg hunt with them!

So Jana was really smart
and put a J on eggs for Jovie,
B for Brock,
and T for Tagen (I'm not sure I spelled that correctly).
I just filled a bunch of eggs.
So, Jovie and Brock were running around
yelling to each other
which letter they found.
And then they'd get one of mine,
"There's nothing on it!"
I would say that they could have those ones
too, and they would look at me
like, you idiot, why didn't
you put letters on the eggs???
It was hilarious!

I was really surprised
how well Kale did
with the egg hunt.
I thought he would be disinterested
or stealing eggs from
the other kids' baskets.
But he just walked around
with Tyler or me and if he saw
an egg he'd grab it and put it in
his basket.
Adorable, right?

I showed Kale that there was
another egg....
and Brett and Jovie came a runnin :)

Yay Estes Homies!!

After I put Kale's pajamas on,
Brock kept calling him 'Super Baby.'
Once he even cam downstairs
and pointed at Tyler and said,
"Hey you, what's your name?"
"Tyler."
"Hey Tyler, your Super Baby wants you."
Best. Sentence. Ever.

I told Kale to say cheese, and he did!

So, I've finally given in to
letting Kale feed himself
with spoons and forks.
I know, I know, I should have
been letting him do it a long time ago,
but I HATE cleaning up messes.
Ok, I'm just not a big fan
of any kind of cleaning.
But here was him
making a mess with some applesauce.

The mess wasn't too bad :)

So, I was doing the dishes,
and when I was done and came
into the living room I found
Kale watching TV like this:

Kale now loves to color with chalk.
Enough said.

So one day I got all paranoid
thinking I wasn't doing enough
to teach Kale things
and challenge his mind.
Therefore, naturally, I got on Pinterest.
And I stole/adapted this idea:
I got a muffin tin and filled
each compartment with different things.
Things like bracelets, felt stuff, magnets.
But some of them had crackers
and fruit snacks.
Then I covered them with a piece of paper
and wrote numbers on them.
Surprisingly, he really liked it!

And, of course,
being his father's son, he made sure
to put each paper in a nice, neat pile.

The following pictures were
taken by Tyler when I
was gone.
I have no explanations.

Kale was really into
playing with cards for a while there.
He had watched us
play Mormon Poker and
loved the banging on the table part.
So, one night, he and
Tyler played a game.

Whenever they would bid, Tyler
would say, "One, two, three,"
for the banging and then Kale would yell,
"Six!"
Every time.
And I think he won....

Alright, so between the last picture and the
upcoming one, a lot was going on,
which is why there is a month
of time between them.
We've moved to a new apartment
in Kittitas, which is a small
town just 5 or 10 minutes
outside of Ellensburg.
The rent is SIGNIFICANTLY less
and it's a huge blessing that we were able to
get it.
We are still putting stuff away,
and getting used to not living in town,
and it's working out really well.
So many people out
here have helped with the move
and watching Kale,
it's been awesome!

Ok, so the next picture is...
family picture for Mother's Day!

What a good looking family :)

A few days ago I gave Kale
his FIRST ice cream cone.
I would like to emphasize that
he has had ice cream before,
just never in a cone.

And then this morning he was being silly
so I just took some pictures
of him.

Phew!
So now we're all caught up!
Sunday Kale and I leave for Iowa!
Dain is graduating and Kyle is coming home.
And Kyle has NO idea that we
are going to be there when he flies in!!!
It's going to be bomb.
More pictures when I get back!
