Our Lives Are Crazy

Well, it has been quite some time since I've posted anything. I believe the title of this entry explains all. Since the last post we've gone to Moab, started school, and just been super busy.

Moab was awesome. We went with our friends Andrew and Molly Hunter. Tyler works with Andrew at the Marriott Center and Molly is his wife. We went to the Needles section of Canyonlands. It was pretty awesome. We went on a couple of hikes and had delicious food. The funny story of the trip was that Tyler and I forgot to bring our sleeping bags! The first night was a little chilly because it had rained that day. We had to share a blanket and in the middle of the night we both woke up and told each other that we had had dream that there was another blanket in the car. The second night was a bit warmer and Tyler used the hammock as a blanket.

Our campsite was really awesome. There were lots of trees around and the red rock was right on top of us.

The things we saw down there were just mindblowing. I don't know of anywhere else in the world that looks like this.

School has started and it's been nuts. Tyler and I are both busy all the day long and then when we come home we eat a little something and then it's time to hit the books. Sundays are our days together. Also, I'm working security at home football games so some Saturdays aren't so great.

Tyler has started his athletic training program at school. This involves a kind of interning for a different team every semester. This semester he's helping the women's basketball team. I think he's enjoying it and learning a lot. I got an internship at the Division of Child and Family Services, working with some social workers. I just started last week so nothing spectacular has happened, but I'm excited to be there. I think this will be the best way for me to find out if this is what I would like to do.

My birthday was in September and it was great. My mom was in town! She took me to dinner as well as my grandma, my uncle, Tyler, and my old roommates. The Saturday after my birthday my older brother Jake was sealed to his wife Nicole in the Salt Lake Temple. It was so wonderful! I was really grateful to be in that sealing room with family and friends. I'm really really happy for Jake and Nicole. After their sealing and going to lunch with everyone, Tyler took me shopping as my birthday present. He's so awesome! I got some cute clothes and he was extremely helpful to me. Best shopping buddy ever.

So, all in all we've been really busy, but life is good and it will all be worth it in the end. :)
